SkyRC is the latest IRC client for the Macintosh platform. It's functioning is based on the same SOMObjects technology as used in OpenDoc and Mac OS 8 contextual menus. The software is currently under development. The latest tested version is available for download. SkyRC is distributed as "beta" software, so you can take a look to the pre-release software. Consistent SOM declaration header files (.hh files) will be distributed soon. It will allow third-party developers to add modules to the core software. Contextual menus, additional inputline commands, and message filters should be easy to implement. SkyRC is being developed using the Metrowerks CodeWarrior Pro 2 integrated development environment (IDE) with Direct-2-SOM compilation.

SkyRC is in early development stage. Many, many errors and crash can and will occur. However, if you found a problem that seems to be not too obvious, I would be pleased to hear about it. There is no help, documentation or any reliable form of support for the moment.
